Phillip achieved a BA in Illustration at Hereford Art College. This allowed him 3 years to experiment with graphic illustration as well as different forms of printing. It was there that he discovered his love of printing. The old-fashioned techniques – the manual.
Since graduating, Phillip has made a living through graphic design and kept himself creative through artwork in his spare time. He spent a few years mainly painting, and has now spent the last four years developing his lino print style.
He has been accepting more and more commissions for house/people/animals portraits, and has become the go-to ‘interesting poster’ designer in Malmesbury having used a mix of lino and graphic design skills to produce the Malmesbury Community Choir’s Christmas poster for 2014 and 2015, Malmesbury Food Festival poster, and the logo for the Mayor’s Charity Blues night 2016.
